As promised here is the second layout I did following the same sketch. I love that you can use sketches over and over and get a completely different look by switching the supplies you use. The layout began with my choice of dsp – the Sweet Pea paper stack (117161). I know I’ve said it before but I need to say it again – this paper is a must have. It is so fabulously versatile and so much fun! There is a sheet in the package that is yellow stripes and it has a couple trees and some grass in the lower right corner. I found that the stripes were a bit much so I cut out the trees and grass and added them to a piece of solid So Saffron cardstock (the trees on the right page).
I wanted to have a similar image on the left page so I just free handed the same images onto cardstock, cut them out and then sponged the edges. I love how it turned out! The clouds and birds were cut out from another sheet of Sweet Pea dsp.

The accents on the page were done using the Trendy Trees stamp set (113258) which coordinates beautifully with the dsp. I tucked my journalling into one of our small square glassine envelopes (117226) and the funky frame for the small photo of Eathan is from the Baskets & Blooms die (it is the base of the basket).
Overall I’m quite happy with the way it turned out. It was fun playing around with a different scrapbook style.
Thanks for stopping by!
