Todays post is a bit of a round up of creative ideas to use your paper crafting supplies. I’m all about stretching my supplies and using them for all sorts of things. So I gathered a few of my favourites and am sharing them all in one place in hopes of inspiring you to pull out your supplies and get creative.
This first project I’m sharing is a blank notebook that I picked up on Amazon. I used them as gifts at a recent event and had a few left over. Rarely does a paper crafter give away something plain. It’s just our nature to make it pretty!
For this project, I basically just took the focal point from a card that I created and added it to the front of the notebook. The only think I changed was the greeting. Now I’ve got a few little gifts ready to go for when I need them.
Here’s another great example of not being able to leave something as is. Inside this beautiful cover is a simple legal pad. It’s so much prettier now! I’ve got a video sharing how I created this project here.
Your crafting supplies come in really handy for seasonal projects. Here are some tree ornaments I created as gifts for Christmas last year. They were created using all the same supplies I was using to make my Christmas cards! Find all the information for these projects here.
Another fun way to use your crafting supplies is for gift packaging and tags. It’s an easy way to make a small gift feel extra special. Find the details for this project here.
And then of course there is home decor. We’ve got all these beautiful supplies in our stash, why not create things to showcase throughout our home! This is a 12″ x 12″ sampler I created for my membership group in January. Simply add it to a frame and you’ve got a beautiful piece of art to hang on your wall! These are just a few ideas on how you can use your crafting supplies for something other than cards and scrapbook layouts. There are so many more – party decor & gifts; treat packaging; labeling containers; signs – the list goes on and on.
There really are no limits to the creative ways you can use your craft supplies. I hope this post helps you to think outside the box when it comes to your crafting supplies.
Until next time,
