Good morning! I hope you had a wonderful weekend. For this weeks MDS Monday project, I’ve got a banner that I made for my husband for his surprise graduation party coming up this weekend. MDS made this so easy!
I started with one of the banner punches from the grad party kit, increased it to just smaller than 1/4 of a sheet of 8-1/2×11. The next step was to choose my paper pack. I wanted something more masculine, so went with the Number One dsp and kept with that colour scheme throughout. The letters are Laurens Letters & Numbers which is a punch. Here’s a look at one of the pages in MDS…
I kept it really simple because I didn’t have a lot of time to spend on it. So just a few elements were added to dress it up – a couple of punches behind the occasional letter. Some recoloured washi tape, stitching and staples.
I printed it from home and then just cut out each shape, punched and thread through some retired cording.
I’m still hoping to get a few more things done in MDS for party decor but will have to see how much time I have. We’ve got a busy week ahead.
If you are interested in trying MDS – don’t forget about the free trial. I also have an MDS class coming up on Saturday June 15th from 10am to noon. Let me know if you are interested in attending – class fee is $10 or free with a $25 purchase!
Thanks for stopping by!
