Happy Sunday to you! Today I have a project to share with you that we did at our last team meeting. I love the simplicity and white space on this card. The flower was made using the Canvas Creations from the Spring Catalogue (p. 21 #129375). I hope this product carries over to the new catalogue – I would love to play around with it on a scrapbook layout.
Back to the flower… We started with daffodil delight and sponged the centre of a 3″x3″ piece, then sponged pumpkin pie and then real red. The sample was done using the blossom punch but the more that we punched the harder it became – it’s not meant to be punched so we die cut the flower using the fun flowers die. If you look closely I also embossed the flower using the vintage wallpaper embossing folder – but I think we forgot to do that at our meeting:) It’s very subtle. We added a piece of white card stock that was embossed using one of the needlepoint border embossing folders (129383). Then wrapped around daffodil delight, pumpkin pie and real red narrow taffeta ribbon. The celebrate is from a stamp set – Sketched Birthday – which is a cute set that will be in the new catalogue.
I hope you enjoyed today’s project! Don’t forget about the free shipping Apr. 6th to 8th!
