Today I’m sharing a couple of fun cards using the Butterflies & Flowers Layering Masks. These masks are so fun. Today I’m focusing on just a couple simple ways to use them but be sure to check out the upcoming Butterflies & Flowers card class if you want to see just how much potential they really have.
This first card just shows how you can use one mask on its own to create a tone on tone background. I love how this background is so subtle and a bit darker in the centre and gradually fades as it gets larger.
Measurements:
- Thick Basic White: 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ scored at 4-1/4″
- Basic Black: 4″ x 5-1/4″ and circle cut with the Tasteful Labels dies
- Bermuda Bay: 3-7/8″ x 5-1/8″
- Vellum: 2-1/4″ x 4″ cut with the Tasteful Labels dies
- Basic White: 2″ x 3″ cut with the Tasteful Labels dies
- Black Glittered Organdy Ribbon: 4-1/2″ (x2)
- Rhinestones: x3
The second card shows how you can layer the masks to create a beautiful focal point for your projects.

You can see how these both come together in the video below.
