Good morning! I actually have a card that uses a new set to share with you today! I had some leftover pieces from my monthly card class but wanted to use a different set than we used in class. I love this fold, I think it’s called a trifold card. Start with a 4-1/4″x11″ piece of cardstock, score it at 2-3/4″ and 5-1/2″. The first fold gets folded backwards (mountain fold) and the second a forward fold (valley fold).
This is the one that they made in class on Friday – it uses the vase image from the Button Buddies stamp set.
My inspiration for this card came from a sample that I saw on Stampin’ Connection (a website for demonstration to share their projects) created by Kay Kalthoff. She had done a baby card in pink. I first created this purple baby card but then decided to change up the colours and image for the class.
Apart from switching up the images and the colours the cards are all pretty much the same. The colours were chosen from the Patterns Designer Series Paper Stacks (Regals Collection). I wasn’t completely convinced about the Cherry Cobbler and Riding Hood Red combination but it works. I like it!
Here are a list of the additional supplies that I used:
- 2-1/2″ circle punch
- Scallop Squares duo big shot die
- Occasions Alphabet
Thanks for stopping by today!
Sherry
