Welcome to the monthly APPT blog hop where we will showcase alternate projects using the March 2025 Daisy Daydream Paper Pumpkin kit. Check out the projects I created using this kit and then hop along to all the other blogs for additional creative ideas.
For those of you not familiar with Paper Pumpkin kits, they are a subscription kit that gets delivered right to you. Inside are all the supplies you need AND directions for assembling the projects for that month.
I love to scrapbook using the monthly kits. Shortly after my kit arrived, I shared this layout using the March kit, today I’ve got a couple cards and a sampler to share with you.
Let’s start with the cards
This first card is similar to one from the kit with a few modifications. I changed out the card base to mossy meadow. Added a layer of white that was embossed with the exposed brick embossing folder. And finished it off with a bit of daffodil delight ribbon (retiring) and Dots for Days (retiring).
One of the things I love to do when I use flowers on my projects is add little trios of dots using the fine tip of my black Stampin’ Write Marker. If you look closely, you can see those on the card front as well as inside.
On the inside I stamped the beautiful daisy stamp from this months kit and coloured it in with Stampin’ Blends.
For the second card I’m sharing, I used the fun large scallop border die from the Fancy Borders dies. I love the detail that it adds to this simple card.
Daisy Daydream Sampler
The final project I have to share using this kit is this beautiful 12″ x 12″ sampler. What a great piece to frame and add to your spring decor. After the season is over, I’ll add it to my scrapbook album.
This sampler began by recreating one of the cards and using it as the focal point in the centre of the layout. Then I just worked around it cutting up card bases and envelopes to create the panels. I love how the embossed mossy meadow panels frame the two sides of the focal point.
Measurements:
- Centre panel: 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ then just recreate the card as shown in the kit but add the ribbon and greeting from the Everyday You & Me stamp set
- Panels to the left & right of centre: 2-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ (x2); embossed layer is 2-1/4″ x 5-1/4″
- Upper left & lower right panel: 4-1/4″ x 2″ ; pool party layer 4-1/8″ x 1-7/8″
- All other panels: 2-1/2″ x 2″; with the top layer measuring 2-3/8″ x 1-7/8″
