Welcome to our first Alaska Achievers Monthly Blog Hop! This month anything goes so I’m sharing a product that I am super excited about from the annual catalogue – the Love Today Planner Kit. I’ve always been a paper planner lover and, over the last year and a half, have really started to get creative in my planners – yes I have multiple planners:)
When I saw that SU was releasing their own planner kit, I knew I had to give it a try. I’ve been using it since May of this year and am loving it. I’ve been playing around with different ways to use and decorate it and it’s just so much fun. It’s a place where I can combine my love of stamping, planning and organizing! I am so excited to share an update on how I’ve been using it.
But first let me share a few details in case you aren’t familiar with the Love Today Planner Kit! Because it’s an all inclusive kit – this planner is for ANYONE! All you need to add is a pen. Here’s what’s included in the kit:
- A beautiful navy blue binder with gold polka dots, reinforced corners and a gold ring mechanism
- Perpetual calendar pages – both in a weekly and monthly format. It being perpetual means that you can start at any time!
- 12 beautiful, laminated dividers – each with a different pattern
- 4 photo pocket pages
- page lifter
- 6 sheets of stickers (3 each of printed sheets and 3 each of gold foil sheets)
- 3 sticky note pads
With all this included in the kit – you do NOT need to be creative to use this planner! However, if you are looking for a creative outlet, this can be it.
I love to get creative in my planner. Here are a few photos of some of my spreads but be sure to watch the video towards the end of the post where I go into more details on how I’ve been using it.
I usually pick a theme or collection of products to use each month and September’s collection was the Painted Autumn Suite from the holiday catalogue. That sunflower dsp is my FAVOURITE!! It’s so beautiful, I wasn’t wasting a scrap of it. I cut out a ton of those partial (and full) sunflowers to add throughout the month! And even created a cute planner clip using it.
Octobers theme was Halloween and the Spooky Night Suite. I love a more definite separation between my days so I like to use narrow washi tape. It’s amazing how much it adds to your spread. As you can see I also love to add photos. I use my planner as a memory planner so not only does it help me keep track of my daily tasks but it’s also a place to record what we have going on. Everything big and small goes into my planner!
Towards the end of each month, I spend an hour or so setting up the next month. That’s when I’ll do any stamping and fill in my monthly spread. I live in Canada and fall is normally done by November – there is almost always snow on the ground. But I am not ready to add snowflakes to my planner just yet and I didn’t want to start any kind of Christmas theme because that will be for December. So I chose to use the leaves from the Vintage Leaves stamp set. Even just that little bit of stamping just steps up these pages and makes them so pretty. It makes me want to go to my planner everyday!
And here’s a weekly spread. I chose to have my end of October in November than have my beginning of November at the end of October. That’s one of the great things about a perpetual calendar – you can pick and choose how you want it to be set up.
I love the Tabs for Everything stamp set – I use it all the time to add little images or words here and there. And you can never have enough washi tape!!
I usually make a planner clip each month to go along with my theme but this month I chose to make a page marker instead. I used the gold foil ‘today’ which is from one of the sticker sheets you get in the planner kit. I added it to a piece of white cardstock, fussy cut around the top of it, stamped some leaves and added a cute little saying to it. This will move with me throughout the month to mark where I am. I love how it turned out!
With Christmas coming, this would make a fabulous gift! Here are just a few uses…
- wedding planner
- pregnancy journal
- documenting baby’s first year or children’s milestones
- memory planner
- personal planner
- business planner

I ordered my planner when it first came out and stuck it in a drawer for 2018. I am so delighted I found you through Amy Koenders. All your ideas are fantastic and they make me want to get the planner and start working on it so it will be ready to go January 1. Thank you for sharing and I hope to see the remainder of your months.
