I love a good challenge. I’m always challenging myself in different ways. This month I’m trying something I’ve never done before – it’s called LOAD219 put on by Scrap Happy. LOAD stands for layout a day. For the entire month of February I plan on creating a layout a day. By the end I should have at least 28 layouts to add to my albums.
We are on day 4 and I’m loving it. BUT things haven’t gotten crazy yet. I know that as the month progresses and life gets busy, it’s going to get a bit more challenging. To try to help my on those days, I’ve created some ‘kits’. These kits include the photos, patterned paper and a sketch to use for the layout. This will help save time having to pick out those things.
Each day we receive an email with a prompt or technique. We can choose to use one, the other, both or do our own thing. For the first two I used the technique – rainbow and black and white. For the yesterdays layout I chose to do my own thing. I had a few things to get done and knew I wouldn’t have a lot of time to spend on it so I used one of the kits I put together.
I have loved all the layouts I’ve created so far and have been making it a point to schedule time in my day for this challenge. It is so much fun. I strongly encourage it!
If you’d like to follow along as the month progresses, follow me on instragram (@sherrystamps) where I’ll continue to share most of my layouts.
Have a creative week.
