Today I’m sharing a fun background idea using the Fond of Autumn bundle from the 2022 July to December mini catalogue. Instead of just stamping directly onto a piece of white cardstock, try die cutting the stamped images and popping them up! It’s a fun way to add a bit more dimension to your project.
Measurements:
- Old Olive: 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ scored at 4-1/4″
- Basic White: 4″ x 5-1/4″ (x2) ; 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ for stamping and scrap for die cutting label shape
- Rustic Harvest DSP: 3″ x 4″ for die cutting label
- Vellum: 3″ x 4″ for die cutting label
To create the background, I stamped the large image from the Fond of Autumn stamp set 3 times using Sahara Sand ink onto the largest piece of white cardstock. I then used the solid die to cut one of them and the die that cuts it into 4 pieces for the other two. Next, I simply played around with positioning them all onto a 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of white cardstock, popping them up using dimensionals. It gives this fun, dimensional background.
Until next time,
