What happens when a vintage school textbook gets a second chance? It becomes the cover of a beautiful accordion fold journal—ready to hold photographs, memories, ephemera, scraps and stories.
Join me for a virtual class where we’ll transform a vintage textbook cover into an accordion fold journal/mini album. This is a fun project for anyone who loves upcycling, vintage papers, junk journaling, scrapbooking, or simply finding creative ways to use what you already have.
And the best part? You don’t need to make yours like mine! Once you learn how to create the base, you can fill and decorate your journal in whatever style inspires you.

What’s Included in the Class Kit?
Your $45 class kit includes:
- One vintage textbook cover to use as your journal cover. Note: each book is different and not all in the same condition.
- 9 sheets of cardstock
- A pack of ephemera and book pages
- A tutorial with photos
- Links to step-by-step videos showing you how to create the accordion journal base and decorate the pages, including tips on creating clusters using scraps
The video tutorials allow you to work through the project at your own pace, pausing, rewinding and returning to the project whenever you’re ready.
