For this weeks memory keeping Monday post I’m sharing this beautiful sunset photos layout. I used the layers of beauty stamps, masks and dies to create these beautiful floral clusters as my accents on the layout.
I have a collections of products that I pulled together from my stash when I started scrapbooking our daughters wedding. Those supplies and the sketch below, were my starting point.
You can see that I’ve loosely followed the sketch. My photos are in a similar position but that’s really about it lol. For me, sketches really are just a starting point. They can be followed pretty closely or not at all. It’s easier to begin a project with a sketch in mind than starting one with a blank slate.
The Details…
Because I was limiting myself to the supplies in my wedding bin that was put together 3 years ago, the layout includes a few retired items and some that are not from Stampin’ Up! But that’s one of the great things about paper crafting – with a little inspiration and some creativity – you can use whatever supplies you have on hand!
The background paper is a woodgrain pattern from Close to My Heart, the petal pink polka dot DSP is a long retired piece of 6×6 paper and the labels that are tucked in here and there are a printable. I’m not sure where from though because they were given to me by a friend.
The layers of beauty, the big alphabet dies and the smaller alphabet stamp set are all current though. To add a bit of interest to the large die cut letters I used some petal pink ink and a blending brush to give them a bit of an ombre look.
I just love the look of the flowers and they were so easy to colour using the layering stencils. If you are not a fan of colouring or are looking for quick & easy focal points for cards, consider the Layers of Beauty bundle – it’s amazing.
I hope you enjoyed todays layout inspiration.
Until next time,
