For this weeks memory keeping Monday post I’m sharing this 2-page Craigmillar Castle scrapbook layout. The shades of green in the photos are what inspired the use of the Leaf Collection background stamp for my accents. I thought it would make a great border.
The greens are old olive, garden green and granny apple green. To create the border, I stamped the image once in all three shades of green and then fussy cut the leaves. Once they were all fussy cut, it was just a matter of tucking them in here and there to create a fun border.
I chose not to go all the way across with the leaves because it was a bit too busy and I didn’t want to take away from the photos. The bit of white space is a great place for the eye to rest.
This layout is great for including lots of photos on a 2-page spread. I managed to get in 9 photos on this layout! It’s hard to tell but there’s a flip up under the bottom left photo.
These photos were take on our 4-day Outlander tour that we did while in Scotland in 2023. Many of the layouts I’ve created that include photos from Outlander sites include journaling to say what was filmed at that location. What an amazing trip that was. I already have a list of places I’d like to visit when we go back… hopefully in the next 2 or 3 years.
This is one of my favourite layouts that I’ve created in a long time. I love how it turned out. This leaf collection stamp is one of my favourites from the new catalogue.
Until next time,
