I love so much about this sketch – the circular element, the scallop border the positioning on the layout and the fun way that patterned paper was used. It’s funny though because I didn’t really incorporate any of those elements that I love on the sketch on my layout. But that’s the great thing about a sketch – it’s a starting point and open to interpretation.
Let’s take a look…
You can definitely see that the layout was inspired by the sketch. I challenged myself to use the August Sweet Sunflowers Paper Pumpkin kit for my layout. This kit is absolutely stunning. Definitely one of my favourites. For anyone who may have missed out, there’s been some talk about it becoming a kit so watch for more details on that.
I filmed a video showing you how I used the contents of the kit to create the layout. You’ll find it linked below. Almost everything I used is from the kit with the exception of the 12″x12″ base and some black card stock. Even the tissue paper I used as the ruffle is from the kit!
Although this Paper Pumpkin kit is no longer available at the moment, consider pinning this layout if you love it so that you can use it for inspiration when the kit becomes available.
