One of the ways I’ve decided to document this year is in a 52 favorites album. I believe this idea was first started by Paper Issues. I love the idea because it’s something I can keep up with pretty easily.
Basically I tell one story a week. I usually use photos but don’t have to. I can just tell the story on a decorated page. It reduces the stress of having to take photos everyday or to document an entire week. This can be done in any format you like. I’ve chosen to document my weekly story in my Freckled Fawn Scrapbook Insert for my Travelers Notebook (TN). My TN is a Webster’s Pages one that I received as a gift from SU! with my travel documents for last years incentive trip. It is by far my favourite gift that SU! has ever given us and they’ve given us PLENTY of gifts.
I’m really enjoying this no pressure way of telling stories. I will still scrapbook some of my favourite photos, events and/or stories on a traditional 12×12 layout.
Most of the supplies I’ve used on the pages that I’m sharing are from Freckled Fawns monthly Travellers Notebook kit. You get such a great selection of coordinating products with paper pre cut to size, washi strips, chipboard, label stickers and other embellishments. I’m loving it.
Here’s a flip through of my album so far.
Just a reminder before I go, the Let’s Get Scrappy – Scrap Your Stash class starts tomorrow. I’d love to have you join us! It’s going to be a fun one!
