Today’s tutorial is this Trees for Sale distressed card. So many layers of fun on this card! Let’s jump right in.
Measurements:
- Basic White CS: 5-1/2” x 8-1/2”, scored at 4-1/4”
- Water Colour Card Stock: 4” x 5 ¼”
- 2022-2024 DSP (red pattern): 1” x 3 ¾”
Instructions:
- Fold Basic White card stock on score line to form card base.
- Use Blending Brush to add Crumb Cake ink around the card edges.
- Add Tahitian Tide to ink with Blending Brush to top ¾” of Water Colour card stock. Randomly add some Night of Navy Ink with Blending Brush over the Tahitian Tide. Use Water Painter to move the inks around and to blend them together as desired. Let dry.
- Wipe embossing budding over inked area and use Versamark to stamp solid tree images and the ‘snow line’. Sprinkle White Embossing Powder over top, shake off excess and set with Heat Tool.
- Use Water Painter to splatter drops of water randomly on card, then do the same using Crumb Cake ink.
- Stamp snowflake image from “Season of Chic” set with Crumb Cake ink on lower portion of embossed piece.
- Stamp sentiment with Early Espresso ink pad .
- Score DSP along the bottom edge at ¼”, fold up and glue flap down. Adhere across the centre front of card.
- Run stamped piece through die cutting machine using Deckled Rectangle Die.
- Wrap ribbon around your die cut, securing in the back with Tear & Tape adhesive. Add bow, using mini glue dots. Glue to front of card.
- Stamp dog with Early Espresso ink pad onto scrap piece of Basic White card stock. Cut with coordinating die and place onto card with Stampin’ Dimensional.
