Earlier this week I was in need of some quick thank you notes to include in packages that were going in the mail. When this happens I always take a look at the pre cut cards & envelopes I have in my stash. I noticed I had lots of 3-1/4″ x 4-1/4″ cards and envelopes so decided to use these as my base. These were perfect because they are too small to mail on their own but great for including in a package.
I was inspired by this shaker tag that I had sitting on my desk. You can find out how to make the tag in this video.
Instead of using dsp as my background, I chose to stamp it with the smaller floral image from the Charming Day stamp set. It’s stamped in crumb cake ink but then stamped off before being stamped on a 3″ x 4″ layer of white.
I used the tips I shared in this blog post for mass producing my cards.
The Details…
- After stamping the background, I distressed the edges with my paper snips and inked the edges with a blending brush & some pecan pie ink. Then added it to the card base.
- The 3/4″ x 3″ piece of dsp is also distressed with snips before being added to the card front.
- I used light berry burst, light & dark fresh freesia, lemon lolly and crumb cake to colour in the flowers.
- Before adding the flower to the card front with dimensionals, I tied a bow with some white twine and added it to the card front.
- I finished off the card with some fresh freesia sequins.
These turned out to be the perfect size to add a little note to include with the package and I used up some of the little card bases that I rarely use!
Until next time,
