Now on to a creative project…
This month at scrapbook club, I talked a little about different ways to incorporate lots of photos onto your layouts. This layout is an example of how to do that. I had well over 40 photos just from the Parade of Dreams from Disneyland and had printed them all in 4×6. There was no way that I could incorporate all of them but there were bits and pieces of many of them that I could include by using the 2-1/2″ circle punch. I think I ended up with a nice assortment of the floats.
Because of the bright, vibrant colours in the photos, I really wanted to carry that on throughout the layout so I used the Bright Patterns Stack and chose a few different colours to add as the borders, rounded a few corners, typed my title in word and printed it onto daffodil cardstock to create the banner and then added some accents. This layout really was VERY quick & easy. From start to finish, it probably took me about 45 minutes and most of that was spent trying to line up my circles!
This would also make a fabulous digital layout for those of you who use MDS. I think I might have to duplicate this layout with some other photos in MDS.
I’ve taken on a HUGE organization process that I will share with you next week. I knew it was going to be big but didn’t realize just how time consuming it would be. In the end, it will all be worth it though. More to come next week…
Have a wonderful weekend and I hope to see some of you at the craft fair tomorrow!
