For this weeks memory keeping Monday post I’m sharing this snow buster layout. Since retiring my husband has signed up for a few different things, one of them being a snow buster through our local volunteer centre. He was assigned to someone in our neighbourhood who is ill and unable to shovel snow. After signing up he came home with a new shovel, some ice melt and a tuque. I knew that I would want to document this so snapped a few photos:)
This two page spread will get added to this years 6″ x 8″ family album. The left page is 4×8 and the right is 6×8. I love mixing the page size in my albums – especially a 6×8 album!
The details:
- Scraps of the winter meadow dsp worked perfectly to create a fun border on the layout. I used 1″ strips in varying lengths but you could also vary the widths.
- The snowflakes were cut from vellum using snowflake dies from the Chic dies.
- I added a couple of the white snowflakes from the snowflake assortments to the centre of the larger snowflakes.
- The stamped snowflakes are from the Merriest Trees stamp set and were stamped using blueberry bushel.
- Trees were stamped in shaded spruce and are from the Grassy Grove stamp set.
Until next time,
