Good morning! Even though today is only Wednesday, it’s actually our Friday because the kids don’t have school Thursday and Friday this week. That means no lunches – woot! woot! I’m looking forward to sleeping in a little and taking it easy. Although we do still have a volleyball tournament ALL DAY Friday and Saturday but that’s Ok.
On to today’s project…
I’m going to be honest with you – the Seasonally Scattered stamp set was one we received at Convention and I didn’t love it. I could take it or leave it. Because I already owned it, I decided to use it at my Christmas in August class and couldn’t believe how many people loved it. I still wasn’t convinced. And then September came…
I am part of a set sampler swap – each month we pick a stamp set and each of us has to create a card using that set. A couple people create a technique card, others a workshop card, a wow card or a CASE card. I was dreading September because Seasonally Scattered was the stamp set. To top it off I had to do a wow card. I am not a wow girl, I like to keep things simple. This was a real challenge for me. It’s a good think I like a challenge! This was the card I created for the swap.
I love how it turned out. I don’t know if I’d consider it a wow card but it was a leap for me so I went with it. I created a shaker card – the shaker inside bits are created using the heart border punch.
I must say after seeing the cards that I received in return – I now LOVE the Seasonally Scattered stamp set! I will be sharing a few of these with you over the next few days. I hope you’ll stop by and take a look.
Have a creative day!
Sherry
