Welcome to the Scrapbooking Global September 2020 blog hop. This month our theme is celebrate! I ended deciding on a Christmas layout because I had the stitched triangle dies on my desk when I sat down to create and immediately thought of a Christmas tree.
After deciding on a theme, I checked my TN (travellers notebook) where I keep a list of the photos that I have yet to scrapbook. My daughters grade 3 Christmas concert was the perfect fit!
The Heartwarming Hugs DSP was the perfect paper to use to create the tree. It wasn’t too busy and the patterns are simple. Look how cute it turned out! I love it and it was so easy to create with the stitched triangles.
After creating the tree it was time to decide on some embellishments and a title. Keeping the embellishments to a minimum seemed to be a great idea so that the tree would draw your eye to the photo. But a couple of the greetings in the Wrapped in Christmas stamp set worked perfectly to add just a little something to the layout.
My Stamparatus (it’s not just for cards) came in handy for the positioning of the word Christmas. Because it was the last thing I was adding to my layout, there was no room for error. The Stamparatus allowed me to get the positioning just right.
