Welcome to the Scrapbooking Global November 2020 blog hop. This month our theme is shapes x9. I love these types of layouts they are so fun. You could do any shape but I chose to do circles. You can see another layout using the same concept but with a very different look here.
I’ve done many of these types of layouts over the years. Some using squares, some rectangles, or circles. I want to try one using the stitched triangles. I thought that might be a fun one. Something I’ve added to my list.
I don’t have any photos for this layout just yet. However, I do have plans to add photos of my favourite holiday decor when we pull out our decorations. I’ll cut them using the layering circle die that I used for each of these circles. They will replace the empty white circles.
The Details…
I created a shaker for the centre circle using the Curvy Christmas stamp set. The wreath was created by stamping multiple pine branches and then fussy cutting them. They serve a dual purpose – one to dress up the layout a little and two to cover the foam adhesive strips I used to create the shaker.
This style of a layout is a great one for using scraps. Apart from the background, no large pieces are required. If you look closely the white card stock in the shaker has a bit of dotted texture. I pulled this piece from my scrap bin. It was something that I had used with the large die from the stitched leaves dies and then never ended up using. I love being able to use up random bits and pieces on my scrapbook layouts. It makes me feel like nothing goes to waste!
