Welcome to the Scrapbooking Global June 2025 blog hop. Thank you so much for joining us. This month our challenge was to use the contents of one of the Stampin’ Up!® scrapbooking workshop kits to create a layout of our own design.
As part of the Scrapbooking Global design team we participate in a monthly blog hop and challenges but anyone can join in if they’d like. We’d love to have you join us! Be sure to join the Scrapbooking Global – Stampin’ Up! Facebook Group so you know when the sign up starts for our next hop and for more scrapbooking inspiration!
Let’s take a look…
I used my favourite new scrapbooking workshop kit – Weekend Adventures. I love the rustic feel of this kit. It’s perfect for documenting outdoor photos, masculine photos and so much more. The photos I chose are from our recent family holiday. They were taken in Mykonos when we rented quads to tour the island. Such a fun day.
I used a couple sheets of white willow as my background. Then took the misty moonlight splatter dsp from the kit and cut it diagonally. Adding half to each of the white pieces.
The photos were matted on white card stock and then onto some crumb cake two tone card stock. To make the focal point photo stand out a little more, I matted it in some old olive two tone card stock, tore the bottom edge and then wrapped some linen thread around it.
The banner pieces, the family time, it’s time for an adventure and group photo are all either stickers or die cut elements from the Weekend Adventures workshop kit.
The title and stamped images (flowers, xxxx and mug) all came from the coordinating Weekend Adventures stamp set. I coloured the images with Stampin’ Blends. To make them stand out from the background even more, I went around the edges before fussy cutting with a light balmy blue blend. I love the look of this shadowing.
It’s hard to tell but there’s a flip flap under the ‘taking the scenic route’ where I included another photo and my journaling. I’m LOVING our flip flaps. I’m finding that I’m using them on so many layouts.
