Welcome to the Scrapbooking Global July 2024 blog hop. Thank you so much for joining us. This months our challenge was to create a combo layout with a pocket page.
As part of the Scrapbooking Global design team we participate in a monthly blog hop and challenges but anyone can join in if they’d like. We’d love to have you join us! Be sure to join the Scrapbooking Global – Stampin’ Up! Facebook Group so you know when the sign up starts for our next hop.
For my layout I decided to create a layout for our family 6″ x 8″ album. The left page is 6″ x 8″ and the right page is a 4″ x 8″ pocket page with eight 2″ x 2″ pockets. The photos are ones that were taken when we looked after our grand puppy for a week a few months ago. She grew quite attached to Grandpa:)
Let’s take a closer look…
I started by stamping the Doggone background on pool party card stock with the same ink. Tip: if you have a glass mat, use it instead of a block. Simply flip it over, ink and then position your card stock over top.
Instead of stamping it multiple times I chose to just stamp it in the centre and then add torn strips of pattern paper to the top and bottom.
I used several bits & pieces from the ephemera packs. The title and the ‘so happy’ are from the Saying Something ephemera pack. I wanted to make the title a bit more interesting so I coloured it with blends to give it an ombre look. the feathers and the hearts are from the Something for Everything pack and the partial label on the right page from the labels & layers pack.
I managed to include 8 photos on the two pages thanks to a couple flip ups. To create them I cut a 2″ x 4″ piece of white card stock and scored it at 2″. The back half gets tucked into the pocket. These can hold as many as three photos but I chose to include 2 and added a bit of journaling under the flap.
Thanks so much for visiting my blog. I hope you enjoyed my take on a combo pocket page layout. Hop on over to Cheryl Taylor’s blog to see what she has created and then continue along for more inspiration.
Until next time,
