In today’s post I’ve got an adorable latching gatefold card to share with you featuring Stampin’ Up!’s Sweet Peas stamp set. I’ve been having so much fun with this sweet set. When it comes to cute stamp sets, I think the Sweet Pea set is a close second only to the, now retired, Taco Fiesta stamp set.
The card I’m sharing today is a bit of a twist on a gate fold because there are a couple extra pieces that interlock to hold it together. But I would still consider it a simple fun fold, which are my favourite types of fun folds.
I filmed a video showing you how it all comes together. In it I also share how to cut your 6×6 pattern paper so that you don’t end up with any scraps. We use the entire piece!
Measurements:
- Card Base (Blueberry Bushel): 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ scored at 2-1/8″ from both short ends
- Old Olive: 3-1/2″ x 5″ cut using the 2nd largest Countryside Corners dies; 3-1/2″ x 3-3/4″ cut using the largest Country Side Corners die; 1-1/4″ x 3-3/4″ (inside)
- Basic White: 3-3/4″ x 5″ (for inside) and 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ for die cutting and stamping
- Pattern Paper: 6″ x 6″ cut down into two 1-7/8″ x 5-1/4″ pieces, leftover pieces will be used on the envelope and inside the card
- Linen Thread: 8″
- Dots for Days: x3
I even made the inside cute!
