Welcome to the Scrapbooking Global May 2021 blog hop. This months theme is DIY creative backgrounds. I knew immediately what I wanted to do and even combined it with the Daisy Garden background stamp that has been my product of focus this week.
For those of you who follow me regularly, you know I love the packaging technique so my background started with that. If you aren’t familiar with the packaging technique, you can see how it’s done in this video.
The next step was to stamp the Daisy Garden background over top using pear pizzazz ink.
Then I used the Messages Dies cut from white card stock to create another layer for my photo to sit on top of. Some of these are flat and some popped up using dimensionals.
The last few steps were to add my title, photo and a few little accent pieces.
I used the Tailored Made Tag Dies for my accents and as a place holder for my journaling. I LOVE these tag dies and have used them so much for scrapbooking already!
Thanks so much for visiting! Head on over to Sharon’s blog to see what she created. Enjoy hopping along to see the beautiful projects that everyone else created!
Have a creative day!

Sherry, what a great way to use the Messages tags! I love them clustered as various size banners.
So many fun elements. I have watched your video before and appreciate the tutorial. Never thought of using the many messages shapes in a layout, but this turned out so cool! Great Job
Thank you so much! I was inspired to use the messages dies this way by a card that one of the artisan design team shared.
