Last weekend was my Creative Retreat weekend, which also coincided with National Scrapbooking Day. I decided to spend a big part of my weekend catching up on some memory keeping.
My daughter is about to graduate from high school and I still had lots of catching up to do in her school album. I managed to complete several years in her album and decided while I was at it, I would duplicate the layouts for my sons school album. Work smarter, not harder right?!
This was one of the layouts that I created for her album. It’s nothing fancy but at this point, I just want to get it completed BEFORE she graduates! I do love how the celebrate border turned out. It’s so simple but I love the repetition!
Because the photo cut off a portion of the celebrate that I wanted to highlight by stamping it in a different colour, I decided to stamp it on vellum and then emboss it with some clear embossing powder. Both the ‘celebrate’ and the ‘new beginnings’ are from the stamp set Happy Celebrations in the Occasions catalogue.
Since the layout was pretty gender neutral, I recreated the same layout for my sons album.
The only change was the ink colours. I repeated this process several several times and managed to get 3 years of photos done for both their albums. Woohoo!
Have a creative day!
