Quick & Easy Gift Packaging

Today I’m sharing a quick & easy gift packaging idea. If you’ve been crafting for awhile, you’ve likely seen these. They are called tea bag holders or a diaper fold. I’ve seen lots of the small version – created with a 6×6 piece of pattern paper but not many larger ones.

The smaller ones are perfect for your seasonal table setting. Think Thanksgiving or Christmas. You could customize them with names and add a little sweet treat. In the one shown above I added some book themed stickers and page flags. Perfect for the reader in your life!

These little packages can be created using any size square piece of double sided pattern paper. I love the size of the pocket that you can create with a 12″ x 12″ piece. It creates the cutest packaging! And no adhesive is needed. And the bonus is these can actually make a dent in your pattern paper stash!  You could make up a dozen of these sitting in front of the TV – they are that easy.

This is the one I created in the video below. I adjusted the fold slightly to make the pocket a little wider. Then I used some leftover leaves from the Harvest Home Garland kit to decorate the front. I tucked in a little paper bag mini album and some chocolate dipped coconut.

And here’s a Christmas version using products from the Peaceful Garden suite. I tucked a hot chocolate pouch, notepad and pen in this one.

Change the shape

You can create a bit of different shape depending on how you fold your paper. Here’s a look at one I created with a 12″ x 12″ piece of pattern paper but folding it the same as when I create the ones with a 6×6 piece of pattern paper. I share how it’s different in the video. You can see that it’s a little taller and narrower.

I tucked a seasoning package and Hershey bar in this one. There are so many things you could tuck into these little pouches.
