Good morning! Todays project is a cute little 3×3 card created by my upline Winona. I wanted to share it with you because of the clever use of pattern paper and the beautiful accent. To create the accent two squares were punched using the Postage Stamp punch (122344) from a piece of Beyond the Garden dsp. Then they were crinkled, positioned off centre and then an antique brad was added to the centre. What a quick and easy accent!
The other great use of pattern paper is covering the flap of the little envelope with matching dsp. Next time you are making a card, while you have all the supplies out, why not decorate the envelope to match the beautiful card you created. Whether it’s with the same stamps or using the leftover scraps of dsp, the envelope is the first thing they see, why not make it pretty!
These little 3×3 cards are so quick and easy and a really great way to use up scraps of dsp and odds and ends left over from our Simply Scrappin’ kits. I have a basket on the shelf above my desk where I put all my scrap pieces – punched pieces, stamped items that I don’t end up using, and any accents that just end up not working on the project I am working on. If I need a quick card, I generally go to that basket and pull something from there and create around it – those items in that basket are perfect for 3×3 cards. Plus did you know that we also have the envelopes to match?
So here’s a challenge for you this week – pull out some scraps and create some 3×3 cards. It’s fun, quick and easy!
Thanks for stopping by today!
