I have so many things to share with you from my Stamp Cafe demo. I might have to spread it into a few posts!
As I believe I mentioned in a previous post, my demo started as a focus on the Picture Perfect Party Suite of products and then went in a couple different directions. So I’ll start with those projects.
First up we have a cassette tape treat box. Are you old enough to remember cassette tapes? Well this idea is based on that. I saw this idea on Pinterest and knew I wanted to recreate it. It’s amazingly simple.
I took one of our acetate boxes that carried over from the holiday catalogue and cut it in half. Assembled in and the added a piece of dsp. The dsp for my box measures 4-1/2″ across and 4-5/8″ tall. Along the tall side, you’ll score at 2-7/8″ and 3-1/2″. Your measurements may be slightly different depending on where you cut your box. But they should be pretty close to this.
Here’s a look at the inside. I added some of the berry shreddie and a turkish delight mini bar that I found at WalMart. A velcro dot holds it all closed.
Next up we have my daughter’s birthday card. She turns 19 next week! Where have the years gone? I would do anything to go back to when my kids were toddlers just for a day. I miss those years. Not that I don’t enjoy them now – I love how independent they are. I miss them sitting on my lap and cuddling. They are both taller than I am now. I miss their giggles and the funny things they’d say. Sign. Oh well I guess I have grand kids to look forward to someday – just not too soon. Not quite ready to be a grandma yet lol!
My plan for this card was to use some of the scraps I had created from the dsp I had been working with. So the card ended up being a 5-1/4″ x 5-1/4″ card. Because the coordinating dsp is only 6×6, I couldn’t make a coordinating envelope using the envelope punch board so I got creative and stitched two pieces of the dsp together to create a little pouch.
I think I prefer the packaging more than the card! It turned out so cute.
I’ll be back next week to share more projects from my presentation. Have a creative weekend!
