Photos with Santa… what are your thoughts on them? I have mixed feelings. I love looking back at them and seeing how my kids have grown from year to year and to see their different expressions. It makes me smile. But when you think about it, we hand over our kids to some strange man, who can look really scary to some kids – especially those who aren’t used to facial hair. We make them sit on his lap to get a photo whether they cry and squirm or not. It seems a bit odd to me. But I have done it every year for my kids up until they refused because they were too old for it. I still ask every year, hoping that one year we can do a family photo with Santa but they never go for it:)
I came across this partially finished layout in Jordyn’s baby album a week or so ago and decided it was time to finish it. Everything was pretty much done from the circle and up. So all I did was find this beautiful glimmer paper from my non Stampin’ Up! stash – which, BTW, matches our pool party cardstock perfectly – and cut it down a bit, mounted that onto a piece of garden green cardstock and that onto white and it was done.
The circle was created by tracing a plate and then I simply added strips of patterned paper and vellum. The accents were from an older holiday themed Project Life accessory pack. I love how the strips of patterned paper – definitely a great way to use up scraps! Do you have any fun ways to use up scraps of patterned paper?
