Today’s project is a Peaceful Place slimline card. I didn’t need any more Christmas cards so decided to turn the one large scrap I had left of this beautiful dsp, into 2 slimline thank you cards.
The tree dsp wasn’t quite tall enough to go all the way down a slimline so I chose to use the woodgrain dsp from the same paper pack at the bottom. Then added a bit of sparkle with the white glittered organdy ribbon.
It’s such a simple card design and a great way to use up some scraps of ribbon. To step it up just a bit, I added the three trees die cut from the cabin dies from snowy white velvet. It provides a bit of contrast with the dark background. And then finished off the card with a few adhesive sequins leftover from a paper pumpkin kit.
The cards are very similar – the only difference is the layers. The leftover strip I had for this first card was a little narrower than the second one so I just added in a white layer and made the card base basic gray.
I believe the Peaceful Place dsp is sold out but you could easily use this card design with any patterned paper. These cards are going to be perfect to send out after the holidays to thank people for the gifts they’ve given us or for their hospitality.
Have a creative day!
