Do you scrapbook using sketches? I LOVE sketches. I have a hard time starting a page without a sketch as a starting point. On my quest to getting pages finished I’ve allowed myself to even double up on the sketches. So I will create two pages using the same sketch! This saves a ton of time and helps me accomplish more. I do make sure that the supplies are switched out so that the pages end up looking nothing alike. Today I thought I’d share two of the layouts I created for this months scrapbook club.
This first one uses the schoolhouse dsp – I love the colors in this paper pack. They are great for masculine projects and pages. As for accents, I went with a variety of sized circles, buttons and candy dots. I love how it all came together!
The idea of having 3 strips of patterned paper appealed to me so much that I thought I’d recreate it for a photo of my niece using the pretty petals paper stack. This is actually a 6×6 paper stack but I just put two pieces together to make the 10-1/2″ strips. You can’t tell, unless you look closely!
As you can see, although the layout is the same, because the supplies are different, they don’t look anything alike. And both of these were done in less than an hour. This makes me happy:)
Have a creative day!
