Have you ever tried a one sheet wonder? If you aren’t familiar with what that is, it’s when you take a sheet of patterned paper (preprinted or stamped) and cut it up. Then you challenge yourself to use up all the pieces to create projects. There are endless ways to cut up the patterned paper – you can have lots of shapes and sizes that are similar or they can all be different.
It’s been years since I’ve done a one sheet wonder, but after seeing something one of my downline created, she inspired me to revisit the idea. I chose a template that would give me 4 pieces of each of the 4 sizes.
I chose to work with the Picture Perfect Party dsp. Here’s what I created.
All the cards use the same pieces but I didn’t want them all to be exactly the same. A quick fix for that was to change up the greeting and the positioning of the pieces.
I kept all the embellishments and the stamp set the same on all 4 cards but did use a few different embossing folders.
I think I like the striped embossing folder the most.
I was so happy to see that the Picture Perfect Birthday stamp set was carrying over into the new catalogue. I have used that stamp set so much. The greetings are just perfect – and not just for birthdays.
If you’d like to give a one sheet wonder a try – just google it and you’ll find a ton of templates to get you started, or create your own! This particular one was for a 6×6 piece of dsp but you can also do them with 12×12.
Have a creative day!
