I’ve got some more changing leaves card ideas to share with you today. This bundle is one of my all time favourites and I can’t stop using it! If you missed the first round of cards I shared using this bundle, you can find them in the blog post listed below.
The two cards that I’m sharing in this blog post are two of the three that we created at our August Treasure Stampers team gathering. Let’s start with a nice simple card.
Thank You Card
This first really focuses on the embossing folder and the dies. But I think the added gingham ribbon really steps up the card.
Measurements:
- Thick Basic White: 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ scored at 4-1/4″
- Basic White: 3-1/2″ x 3-3/4″ embossed and then cut down to three 1-1/4″ strips and 1-3/4″ die cut circle
- Wild Wheat: 3″ x 2-1/4″ (for die cutting leaves)
- Gingham Ribbon: 6″
- Adhesive Backed Textured Dots: x3
Birthday Card
The second card is a bit more elaborate. We created our own pattern paper using the largest leaf stamp, added some die cut leaves and even stamped, embossed AND die cut one of those leaves. The torn strip of pattern paper from the Thoughtful Journey dsp is the perfect touch of pattern and compliments the card beautifully.
And if you love the new basic beige colour – the vanilla coloured dots from the Swirl Dots work perfectly with that colour!
Measurements:
- Pretty Peacock: 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ scored at 4-1/4″; 2″ x 4″ (die cut leaf & 2 sprigs)
- Basic Beige: 4″ x 5-1/4″ (x2); 1″ x 3-1/4″
- Wild Wheat: 2-1/2″ x 2-1/2″ and 1/2″ x 5-1/2″
- Thoughtful Journey DSP: 1″ x 5-1/2″
- Linen Thread: 8″
- Swirl Dots: x3
Until next time,
