Merry Little Christmas Noel Card

When I plan for a class I love to spend time playing with the product that I’m focusing on. I create tons of projects, many of which we don’t end up making in class but end up on display for additional inspiration. Last weekend I was playing with the Merry Little Christmas Memories and More card pack and I had a blast. I still have a few more projects to create for the add on but I wanted to share a couple projects that I created.

Today’s project is a card that I created using one of the 3×4 overlays that comes in the kit. You can see the shine on the silver ornament a bit better in this photo.

The card measures 4-1/4″ x 4-1/4″. I wanted to add a pop of color in behind the ornament so I used some scraps of cherry cobbler, lemon lime twist and black cardstock attached to the back of the overlay using mini glue dots.

Here are the measurements of the layers if you want to recreate this card:

• overlay is cut down to 2-7/8″ x 2-7/8″ as is the white cardstock it’s mounted to
• basic black scallop square (from the layering squares framelits) measures 3″ x 3″
• lemon lime twist layer measures 3-1/4″ x 3-1/4″
• garden green layer measures 3-3/8″ x 3-3/8″

I add one of the silver enamel shapes to the center of the ornament. The Noel greeting is one of the stickers that comes in the Merry Little Christmas Memories and More card pack. And the bow is done with our 1/8″ silver ribbon.

It’s such a pretty card and really quite simple, just lots of layering!
