For this weeks Memory Keeping Monday layout, I’m sharing a page that documents our first meal in a restaurant in 3 1/2 months. I will add this to the COVID-19 section of our 2020 family album.
I had about an hour of crafting time yesterday. Because time was in short supply, I decided to work with the few supplies and the photo sitting on my desk.
I have to admit I don’t love this layout. There’s something that just doesn’t sit right with me. I’m not sure if it’s the green behind the cut file or if the photo is too small. But even though I don’t love the layout, it will still make it to my album. I’m ok with not loving every layout I create. I have the story documented – that’s what matters.
Layout Details
- The cut file is a free one designed by Nathalie DeSousa forĀ Scrapbook Cards Today.
- I backed with a bit of dsp from the Forever Greenery paper pack.
- The title is created using the playful alphabet dies and foam adhesive sheets. I love doing this for my titles! It’s like being able to create my own puffy stickers in any colour and never running out of letters.
- I went to my sticker sheets and die cut elements to look for bits and pieces to add to my clusters. I found a few that worked and added those in. Having my die cuts and stickers organized so that I can quickly look through them is a huge time saver.
I’m looking forward to getting lots of scrapbooking done over the next six weeks of my scrap your stash class. We start today, if you’re interested in joining us, you’ll find all the details here.
Have a creative day!

You’re right Sherry! The document is the important thing. We are back in the thick of it in southeastern New Brunswick after a long period of calm. I am sure all Canadians will be glad to see the back of 2020.. . Think you for the inspiration: sometimes we need to register some of the negative events in our lives. By the way, I like the lay out. clean and simple.
