Good morning and welcome to another week of MDS Monday. This week I have a hybrid project to share with you. These party favors were inspired by favors that Becky Roberts made for her son’s birthday. I really liked the monogram clip idea but all of my alphabet sets were too big for the inside of the soda pop tops. So MDS came to the rescue!
I went in an just chose the desired alphabet set and then resized them so that they would be slightly smaller than 1″ so that I could use my 1″ circle punch to punch them out.
Instead of printing them on white card stock, I printed them on a piece of tempting turquoise dsp from the brights paper stack pack. After punching them out, I attached them to the inside of the soda pop top and then covered with a thick layer of crystal effects. Because these were for girls I wanted to add a little bit of sparkle so I sprinkled just a little bit of dazzling diamonds on top of the crystal effects before it dried. Then once they were completely dry, they were hot glued to a clothespin and attached to the party favors. What more can a teenage girl want – candy, chocolate and a smoothie! I know mine loves them all!
Thanks for stopping by today! Have a wonderful week!
