The Nailed It bundle from the Stampin’ Up! occasions catalogue makes great masculine cards but when you combine it with the Balloon Adventures stamp set it makes even better masculine cards! Today I’ll be sharing 4 cards I created using those two stamp sets and a few other supplies. These are the 4 cards we created at our SAB Stamp Cafe in March.
This card was inspired by one created by Yvonne VanBruggen from the Netherlands. I made a few changes to make it my own. I LOVE the arrows in the Love Notes Framelits set and the Stitched Shapes framelits.
The detail that the Hexagons Dynamic impressions folder gives is so amazing. You can see a bit of it in the photo but it’s so much more in person! And check out how real those wrenches look stamped on our silver foil!
It’s hard to see in this photo but not only do the framelits cut but some of them even add detail – check out the ruler and the screw. The detail on those two pieces is amazing.
This card was inspired by Julie Kettlewell from the UK again with a few changes to make it my own. I always like to put my own spin on cards that are inspired by others. The specialty paper from the Urban Underground dsp pack is so awesome with the silver foil accents. This paper pack is a must for masculine cards! And I love that it coordinates with the Nailed It bundle but doesn’t have tools on it. This makes it even more versatile!!
I’ll list the supplies for all the cards below but here are a few tips if you are recreating these cards.
- Use Staz On ink when stamping on the silver foil
- Be careful not to push to hard when stamping on the foil. It can be slippery and you don’t want your stamp to slip and cause a blurred image.
- If you own the clear version of this set, you can add multiple images to a larger block to stamp a background like shown on the first card.
Have a creative day!
