In today’s post I’m sharing a layout using circle dies. Last week I shared a few creative ways to use circle dies, if you missed them, I’ll link them below. However, I had more ideas to share so I’ll continue sharing the odd idea throughout the month.
For this layout I used the Deckled Circles dies but any circle dies or punches would work. The circle measures about 2-1/8″. By cutting a number of that same sized circle and doing a variety of things to each of the circles, I created my own fun background. Here are some ideas of what you can do:
- stamp on them to create your own patterned paper
- emboss them for added texture
- add your journaling to them
- layer different sizes/colours
- add your title to one of them
- you could even replace a few of them with photos punched/die cut from the same size
Using a variety of these ideas really creates a fun layout. All the stamps (apart from the word ‘day’) are from the Love this Moment stamp set and the embossing folder is the Softly Sophisticated folder from the Sale-a-Bration brochure. I’ve linked a fully supply list at the bottom of this post.
To tie in the facing page I used a bit of the same patterned paper, the same floral image stamp and one of the deckled circles.
I also chose to do a monochromatic layout which was kind of fun. Now all that is needed is the photo and some journaling. I plan on printing a photo of some friends and I at our last crafty get together.
Until next time,
