For this weeks memory keeping Monday post I’m sharing this beautiful Impressions Abloom scrapbook layout. I am so in love with the Floral Impressions suite of products. It’s been used a lot in my craft room over the last few weeks.
This layout is such a great design for using scraps of pattern paper. You’ll notice that I don’t have a title on this layout yet. I’ve started not including titles if I don’t have photos to add to the layouts that I’m creating. This allows me a little more flexibility down the road when I’m looking for finished layouts to add my photos to. I could use this layout to document almost any photo and then customize my title to the photos. However, if I added a title, it might limit what photos I can add.
The Details
The pattern paper strips measure 1″ x 10-1/4″ . After distressing them with a pair of scissors, I staggered them on a 12×12 piece of white card stock. After die cutting a couple of the larger leaf images from the Impressions Abloom dies, I used the negative space, some garden green ink and a blending brush to add a few leaves to the background behind where my embellishment clusters were going to go.
Then I pulled out my trusty Everyday Arch dies and cut a few in coordinating colours in various sizes. They got tucked under the top and bottom strips.
After that it was just a matter of adding some die cut flowers. To give the flowers a bit of depth, I used a sponge dauber and added a bit of colour to the centres and bases of the flowers and leaves.
To finish off the layout I added a few of the clear gems from the Strawberry Slush & Pretty in Pink Gems.
I LOVE the way this layout turned out. Depending on the photos I choose to add, I may turn it into a 2-page layout.

Until next time,
