Good morning! I am so excited for this week to finally have arrived because we are now only a few days away from my weekend retreat! Woot! Woot! I CANNOT wait but I have so much to do before I leave on Thursday!
Do you ever find that you create a layout where there is no where to add journaling? Normally it wouldn’t matter, I would just leave the journaling off. However, for this particular layout I really wanted to include some journaling and have my daughter write it. It’s nice to have other people’s perspective and thoughts on a photo or situation. Since this is a photo of her and her best friend, it seemed more appropriate for her to do the journaling than me. And it will be more meaningful when she looks back at the photos.
I had my layout laid out the way I wanted it and realized there was no room for journaling. So I had to get a bit creative on where to include it. I decided to create a little pocket by popping up the larger photos with dimensionals and tucking a tag in behind.
The layout is pretty simple with strips of washi tape and a few stamped images (vine is from the Hello Lovely PL accessory pack and the butterflies from the Perpetual Calendar stamp set).
Here’s another example of hidden journaling on a Project Life layout. I still had more journaling that I wanted to add to the layout but didn’t have any pockets left. My solution was to pop up one of the photos and tuck a tag in behind.
Thanks for stopping by today! Have a creative day!
