Another round of scrapbook club started in September and this is the layout we did. The photos were taken on our cruise last spring. Yes, I’m still working away on that album – determined to get it done by Christmas! On to the layout – it’s pretty basic, but there are a couple things I’d like to point out.
Sometimes you want just a little something to add to your layout without making it too busy. That’s exactly what I was looking for on my white background. I initially tried punching out stars using the accent colours (Pacific Point and Pumpkin Pie) but found that to be too much. Then I added some white stars but they didn’t offer enough. So I chose to sponge around the edges of the white stars with the accent colours and it was just what the layout needed! I add a few star clusters on the pages and it was perfect.
I am also loving the Tasteful Trim die (120893) from page 17 of the Holiday Mini. That’s where I got the zig zag pattern along the pumpkin pie cardstock. But you’ll notice that along the bottom I used the negative space. So don’t through away those extra pieces use them!The last thing I want to point out is the journaling. I used a point form style to journal on this page. This is a great way if you are making lists. I printed the journaling on a piece of Daffodil Delight cardstock and then cut it down into strips, added a brad as the bullet and attached them to my layout.
