Today I’m sharing another from sketch to card idea. I am LOVING the card templates on page 22 of the annual catalogue! They are my favourite new feature of the new catalogue. I chose to work with the sketch shown below for today’s project.
Ever since I saw the Unbounded Love dies I’ve had this idea in my head to create a little cluster of the label shapes as a background. I’d like to try it on a layout as well but started with the idea on a card.
To begin with I cut out all the shapes I could fit on a 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ piece of white card stock. Then I added a bit of peach ink using a blending brush, to the background of the white layer and some splatters of Wink of Stella.
After positioning the label shapes, I added my stamped butterfly (colored with Stampin’ Blends & Wink of Stella), baker’s twine and some shimmer gems.
Measurements:
- Thick Basic White: 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″
- Basic White: 5-1/2″ x 3-1/2″ ; 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ (for die cutting shapes) and 1-1/2″ x 4″ for stamping
- 2024-2026 In Color DSP: 1/2″ x 5-1/2″ (x2)
- White Twine: 8″
- Shimmer Gems: x3
