Today I’m sharing a space themed faux stair step card. The card looks elaborate but you’ll be amazed at how simple it is to make! Be sure to watch the video towards the end of the post to see step-by-step how it comes together.
I love the Stargazing dsp but wasn’t sure how much use I’d get out of the bundle so I didn’t purchase it. So I challenged myself to use the paper and other product I had on hand to create this card and LOVE the finished card. The holographic paper is AMAZING!
I’ve included the measurements below. In the video I walk you through cutting, and scoring, the black so that you can get it all from one sheet of 8-1/2″ x 11″ card stock.
Measurements:
- Basic Black: 9″ x 4-1/4″ scored at 1-1/4″, 2-1/2″ and 5-3/4″ ; 8-1/2″ x 3″ scored at 5-1/2″ ; 2″ x 3-1/2″ for die cutting
- Stargazing DSP: 2-3/4″ x 5-1/4″ and 1-1/4″ x 2-5/8″ (pattern 1); 1″ x 4″ and 3″ x 4″ (both in pattern 2) and 2 die cut, or fussy cut planets
- Blueberry Bushel: 2-3/4″ x 5-1/4″
- Basic White: 2-5/8″ x 5-1/8″
- Holographic Paper: 2″ x 3-1/2″
- Starry Sky Metallic Ribbon: about 6″
Here’s a peek at it from the side.
And the back.
And here it is in blue.
I first created this fold at our team Mystery Stamping Night. One of our team members, Kevin, led us in creating this card. The card below was the result of that stamping session. I loved it so much I knew I wanted to share it with all of you.
This one uses the Masterfully Made dsp, Nested Essentials dies and the Layering Leaves stamp set. I wasn’t sure about this patterned paper but I think in small amounts it works. I can’t wait to play with it some more.
Both the Stargazing and the Masterfully Made DSP are on sale for 15% off. But only until June 30th, 2023.
Check out the video below to see step-by-step how to put together a faux stair step card.
Until next time,
