Today I’m sharing a few fun envelope pocket ideas with you. These are simple projects that can be used for so many different things:
- gift cards,
- small gifts,
- hidden journaling or memorabilia on a scrapbook layout,
- or added to your junk journal.
They are also perfect little projects to create using some of the pattern paper we always seem to have so much of!
You can find a video showing you how they come together below.
Fall Themed Pocket
This first one was created with an envelope for a 3″ x 5″ card. The retired Stampin’ Up! envelope punch board called for a 6-3/4″ x 6-3/4″ piece of pattern paper to start.
To create the pockets I used a piece of music paper from an old book and a scrap of the Gathering Together DSP. This is the perfect size for a gift card but you could tuck in a few stickers, or ephemera as well.
I used these magnets for a closure but you could also use velcro dots.
Peaceful Garden Pocket
This next pocket is for a 5″ x 7″ card so significantly larger. I started with a 9-1/2″ x 9-1/2″ piece of pattern paper.
I tucked a tag, journaling spot, laser cut piece and a little postage stamp accent into the pockets.
Floral Impressions Pocket
For this third pocket, I used a sheet of music paper as my base. It’s a 5″ x 5-1/2″ pocket. I started with an 8-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ piece of paper.
I’ve added a gift card, tag and postage stamp journaling spot to the pockets.
These are so fun to make! And easy to whip up a batch of them using any pattern paper from your stash.
Until next time,
