One of the things I really wanted to do before Jordyn’s 18th birthday was to FINISH her 1st year album. Unfortunately, I didn’t quite get there – I have 3 or 4 layouts still left to complete. One of them is really stumping me though. I have this photo of her at the hospital and one of her dad at the hospital and they look so much alike. I want to create a layout with both those photos and I just haven’t been inspired yet. That one has to wait. The others are simple photos that won’t take me long to make pages for.
At my Creative Retreat I made this layout using the Falling in Love dsp and the Dragonfly Dreams Bundle. I’ve really been enjoying simple layouts lately. This is actually only one of the two page spread. I mirrored the page for the other side. It is so soft and beautiful in person. As I was flipping through her album on her birthday, this layout stood out more than any of the other, more elaborate layouts in the book. It helps that the photos are so adorable!
The hexagon is from the from the Nailed It bundle.
The wings on the dragonfly were brushed with a little Wink of Stella to give them a bit of shine, which you can’t see at all in the photo!
It took me all of about 1/2 an hour to put this 2-page layout together. Another plug for simple, get-r-done pages. Now to finish her school album before graduation!! There just never seems to be enough time to craft:)
Have a creative day!
Sherry
