It seems like the last retreat was more than a week ago. Today I thought I’d share a few details from last weekend. I love these retreat weekends. I love that they provide attendees the opportunity for dedicated crafting time, which can be so hard to find at home. There are so many distractions, other things that should be done and if you have to pull everything out, set it up and then turn around and put it all away a couple hours later, it doesn’t seem worthwhile. These retreats provide the opportunity to create uninterrupted for hours.
Last weekends retreat was a local retreat, held in my studio. Because I like to give everyone space to spread out, spots are limited. Everyone gets a full table of crafting space. You need that space to be productive. It’s nice to be able to spread out a bit.
All attendees received this adorable goodie bag. Inside were some of my favorite crafting essentials.
I like to have a make and take at all my local retreats. This time we created this cute clipboard frame. It was painted with some chalk paint. Then we added a sheet of the Wood Textures DSP to frame a photo. The flower is the Birthday Blooms stamp set and we colored it using the Stampin’ Blends. Now to just find the right photo to put in it.
Here’s a photo from Saturday. Good group of ladies. It was fun. I’m pretty sure everyone found it pretty productive. Becky managed to start AND finish her Disney album! Woohoo!
I always make up little gifts for each day that they attend. However, I dropped the ball and forgot to hand some of the out so they will go in with their orders when they arrive or be given to them the next time I see them!
Friday everyone received a notepad and set of the journaling pens. Saturday was the little scallop tag topper package with some peppermint patties and then yesterday SHOULD have been this pretty bag with a chocolate treat inside.
Mari-Liz brought flowers on Saturday morning. Such a lovely treat. They definitely added some cheeriness to the center of the island.
The food over the weekend was delicious. I tried a three new recipes and they are all ‘do overs’ as my kids like to say. All in all it was a successful weekend.
The next local retreat will be September 21st, 22nd and 23rd. You can attend 1, 2 or all 3 days. Whatever works for your schedule. All the information can be found here.
