Looking for some Christmas card ideas? I’ve got 4 of them for you today, all using the beautiful Brightly Gleaming suite from the holiday catalogue. These are the 4 cards we made at the afternoon Stamp Cafe class.
All of these cards were inspired by cards that I saw online, but all have my own touch to them.
This first card is a simple card using one of the ornament stamps to create a bit of background. The flourish/leaves are from the Christmas Cardinal dies. The greeting is a piece of the of the very vanilla/copper weave ribbon. Simple but I love it!
I love the slightly askew layers on this card, the embossed copper foil and the little dots of copper. This dsp with the foil in it is SO gorgeous!
To create the little dots on the card, I dipped the tip of my stylus into a little bit of the copper ink refill and then tapped it onto the card in clusters of 3 dots.
FYI I’ve included a full supply list for each of the cards at the bottom of this post.
For this card, my friend Nicole showed me how you can use the little piece that you normally toss after using the triple banner punch. Normally you want the flagged part when you use that punch, but for this card, those little copper pieces peeking out from behind the greeting are the other pieces. What a great tip!
The last card today shows how you can use any colour combination and it still looks fabulous. Here I used balmy blue and highland heather – non traditional colours.
I hope you enjoyed todays Christmas card inspiration!
Have a creative weekend!
