I LOVE the new Core’dinations card stock in the Holiday Mini catalogue! We played with it last month at our team meeting – there are so many ways to use it for wonderful distress looks!
- emboss it
- deboss it
- crimp it
- score it
- tear it
- crumple it
So if you aren’t familiar with this cardstock, your probably saying well you can do all that with ANY cardstock. And yes you can BUT the Core’dinations cardstock has an inside layer that is monochromatic to the cardstock and when you lightly sand the cardstock after doing any of the techniques above, it reveals that colour! It’s available in three of SU!’s exclusive colours: Cherry Cobbler (127846); Early Espresso (127848) and Gumball Green (127847).
Anyway, onto todays project… this was Eathan’s birthday card, inspired by Mary Fish! I used the Core’dinations cardstock with the new Woodgrain embossing folder – it looks incredible. The folder brought out the inner layer without even having to sand it! It makes for the perfect tree for the owl builder punch! The rest came together in a snap with the owl builder punch, pennant punch for the party hat and postage punch for the pinwheel!

Today we are finishing up last minute preparations for the first day of school tomorrow – packing bags, labeling, picking out the first day outfit, packing lunches! Unfortunately, Eathan will miss the morning because we have to make a trip downtown to see an allergist. He’s quite happy to miss the morning! Anyway, have a great day! Thanks for stopping by!
